From Round to Rectangle: Pizza Shape Adventures

Welcome to Wine Hall Yokohama! No, I didn’t drink wine, and yes the restaurant has pizza, ok?! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

It was my Dad’s choice tonight and this American-style place looked nice ๐Ÿ‘ It had diner-style booths and photos from 1950s America on the wall.

You know how I’ve reviewed plenty of round pizzas and an oval pizza, but I haven’t found square, rectangle, rhomboid or triangle pizza! ๐Ÿค” Well one of them can be knocked off that list!! ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

It is the…

Rectangle pizza!!!

a rectangle shaped pizza on a white plate, with slices of cherry tomatoes and fresh basil on top
The Honmoku rectangle Margherita pizza

It is called the Honmoku pizza! (Honmoku is an area south of Yokohama and just near this restaurant!)

It had a different base, it was more like a naan (Indian bread). The topping was cheesy and each piece had one tomato and a couple of shreds of basil! Now, I don’t normally like raw tomato but on this pizza it tasted good and I ate it ALL!

Buuut this pizza was more like a stater so I also ordered a bowl of spaghetti bolognese! ๐Ÿค—

Now I know you’re dying to know what the rating of this rectangle pizza is, and how does it compare with round or oval pizza? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง

Well, it didn’t have much flavour because there was no tomato sauce and the bread was thin! So…

My rating is: ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•

But its always fun to try something new!!
