When the guy running our lodge found out I was writing this blog, he told me about Gouchisou Pizza and said it was the best pizza in Nozawaonsen! They have Margherita so I had to try it.

After going to the Onsen, we stopped by to get pizza. We entered a bar with metal and wood tables on the right, and barrels on the left. The rustic interior had cool projections playing on one of the walls. Most tables are always reserved, but barrels and the bar you can sit at at any time. It was nice and warm, had a good vibe to it and the people were friendly.

We tried the Margherita and TSK (a Japanese flavour pizza with pork, spring onion and an Onsen egg) pizza. We brought it back to the lodge to eat.

It was kind of like the mountain pizza but the pizza was smaller pizza and one big slice of cheese per piece. The basil was mostly hidden under the cheese.

It was very good, but was it as good as the mountain pizza? My answer is no! 🤯 The mountain pizza is still my favourite of all!
